CPD Approval of Events

The College of Psychiatrists of Ireland reviews events and approves CPD for psychiatrists.  First, please read the guidelines section.

Organising an educational event?

• Apply for CPD approval by completing the ‘Event Organisers‘ form.
  Note the Irish Postraduate Medical Training Bodies recognise each others’ CPD approvals.  Organisers need only apply to one PGMTB for CPD approval.

Attended an educational event that didn’t have CPD Approval?

• Check the Guidelines and Automatic CPD Recognition section on this page to see if (1) the event carries CPD approval from another recognised body, or (2) if it is one of the events we automatically recognise for CPD for psychiatrists.
  If neither (1) nor (2), then apply for CPD Approval and CPD Certificate by completing the ‘Individual Psychiatrist’ form.
